SEE NK’s FILMS

I am based between the UK and East Africa, where I am involved in audiovisual production in support of NGO communication strategies. My clients include Saferworld, Orchid Project, Danish National Television: DR1, amongst others.

In my audiovisual storytelling, I use mixed media to creatively generate engaging and powerful content, whilst conveying the core messages and values, and staying within budget and schedules.

I have a clear insight into how clients can use film to achieve their outcomes, be these fundraising, informational, or commercial, with an independent approach to delivering film projects, a willingness to undertake international travel, even at short notice, and able to work flexible and frequent anti social hours, even under pressure.

Depending on the size of the project, I can operate as a Self-Shooting Producer/Director, carrying out camera, sound and editing work, and for bigger projects I can put together a team of professionals to work with. I plan projects, organize shoots, liaise with clients, and direct on location.

Following my graduation in Film and Media Studies, I worked in TV for 8 years, both in Spain and the UK. Most of my work was in a live studio environment, in News and Sports. In sports I did live graphics for the FA Cup and Roland Garros amongst others.

Being very interested in African affairs, I was also involved in the production of Talking Africa, by the Africa Centre in London, and later directed a TV News and current affairs programme: African Panorama.

Since then, I have acquired an MA in Global Media and Post-national Communication by SOAS, University of London and have focused my work more on documentary formats, specially investigative, social, and culturally oriented and work for NGOs.
